CD Sunday Challenge - Poetry Corner

I have made a 6 by 6 card using a Vintaj CD "Fading India" working in CA2.  The poem is the first verse of John Godfrey Saxe's ( 1816-1887) version of the famous Indian legend.
It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.
The link is here if you would like to read the rest.

On Our Travels With Darcy's Postcard Challenge - Russia

When I think of Russia I think of Winter, War and Peace and Dr. Zhivago to blame I guess. Also I have a friend who grew up in Siberia and she was telling me how overnight the snow would almost bury their little house and they would make a sloping  tunnel from the front door which was way under the snow to the outside. This is how she would then get out to school all winter. So I have used the lovely image of Moscow when it is snowing from the Snowman Movie. I added some white edging. My page also shows one of Russia's beautiful churches in the snow. The pocket is from a cover of Vogue showing a take on Russian dolls which they did for a 10th anniversary of Matryoshka dolls.
Do take a look at the postcards from our fellow travelers here.

On Our Travels With Darcy's Postcard Challenge - Portugal

I have followed  the explorer nautical theme for Portugal. One of the world's most famous explorers is the Portuguese Vasco De Gama. In 1498 he became the first European to reach India by sea. In so doing he paved the way for the Portuguese Colonial Empire in Asia.
My postcard is on watercolour paper with his image from Wikipedia and a ship stamp from Artemio. The background map stamp is from Impression Obsession.
My page shows a map of Vasco De Gama's route as the pocket and pictures of the flag, Porto and the famous Discoveries monument in Lisbon made to celebrate Portugal's famous explorers.

Do take a look at the talented work of  others on this journey here.
