CD Sunday Challenge - In Stitches

The four papers for this card come from Kirsty Wiseman's Colour Burst of Fanciful Things. There are some beautifully co-ordinated sets of papers on her CDs. Each layer is stitched to the one below with a brown co-ordinating thread using either running or zig zag stitch. My sewing machine thinks it's Christmas, it is so long since it saw the light of day. The tile sentiment in the centre is from my stash.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 63 - Aspect of Trees

I found this tree motive in an embrodery designs book I bought recently and thought it was just right for this challenge. The book is Doodle Stitching by Aimee Ray. The image is coloured with promarkers. The snow stamp and background writing stamp are from Elusive images and the grasses from Stamp doodles. DI ink Stormy sky was used to shade the tag. The wooden leaf is from my stash.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 132 and 133 - My Choice of 2010 and Happy New Year

I decided to combine the two challenges into one, so here is my Art Deco Happy New Year card.
The Scene is from Debbi Moore's Inspiration magazine and is made into an easel card. I added a flower made using the melt pot, as it was such a good match for her dress, with a bought rose at its centre.

CD Sunday Challenge - Tag It

Looking forward with this challenge. The backing papers are from MCS, the stamp origins unknown. I have had it for a long time and not used it before! I coloured the balloons with Promarkers and 2011 is a rub on. The sentiment is printed with the Xyron design runner.
Thank you for taking a look and a happy New Year to you all. Your comments are always appreciated.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 30 - Anything Goes

I decided to make a start on some decorations for the Christmas table so made a napkin holder to fit with this challenge. The ring is made of red paper, edge punched, and white pearlised paper, also punched, both with Martha Stewart punches.

The decoration is cut out from one of Crafty Ann's pre coloured poinsettia sheets. Thank you Ann. I layered up the two sets of leaves and then the large and small flower, adding gold jewels in the centre.

Three more to go!

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 131 Make It A Vintage Delight

I bought some Debbie Moore CDs in her sale and they have some great backing papers. These two backing papers are from Vintage Heaven and the lady from 100 Vintage Images. The oval frame I cut from some Kanban card using Craft Robo and the flowers I made from one of the backing papers using the Sizzix die 3D Flowers, this gives you one of those cut to the centre in a spiral cut out which you roll and glue. The pearls and ribbon are from my stash

Dragon's Dream TIO # 62 Golden Haze

I love Christmas roses and have a mass of them growing in my garden, they look so fragile but withstand the snow and ice. A Christmas glory. So I used Elusive images Christmas Rose stamp plate to stamp using DI mustard seed, on watercolour card that was coloured with the same ink. I stamped again with wild honey but have not been able to get the contrast to show up in my photograph. I added a Christmas Angel, ribbon and a gem.

CD Sunday Challenge - 3 of A Kind

I was out for a walk on Sunday and of course thinking about crafting and this challenge when I saw a hot air balloon up ahead. Hence this card today. The backing paper is from JS Thomas Kinkade CD. The stamps are Clarity and the sentiment was cut with craftrobo.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 61 Sir Tim Inspired Enbellishment

I used stamps from different places for this tag including Elusive Images, Dee Gruenig and Sheena Douglas. I used DI Antique linen, Rusty hinge, Aged mahogany, Pine needles and Brushed corduroy. The press studs are Sir Tim's and obviously the bird, which is cut out of spotty Grunge paper.

Rainbow Lad'y Challenge # 130 Christmas Food or Drink

My inspiration for this card came from the Cliff Richard song "Mistletoe and wine". I used a stencil to cut my bottle and glasses from white card. I used the mistletoe stamp from Elusive Images which I stamped and coloured in DI Pine Needles. I glazed and glittered the berries. The sentiment is also from Elusive Images but this time from the Mistletoe DL plate. The music background is from The Stamp Man and is stamped in Momento London Fog.
This will be John's Christmas card.

CD Sunday Challenge Blog - Christmas Sparkle

Inspired by the Design team I have used Ooh La La Creations Quick Makes for Christmas for this card. I added textured snow and glitter to the topper and matted it onto some glitter card stock. This was added to the matching bp and the sentiment and snowman added.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 29

I used the lovely coloured holly wreath that Ann sent as part of my prize for this challenge. I used MCS Pro to create the two backing papers from the holly wreath by cropping and tiling. I did not alter Ann's colours at all as they are so bright and vibrant. I cut out the holly wreath itself with Spellbinders scalloped circle and used Stickles Burgundy to highlight the berries. I also cut out two of the paper ribbons. All were mounted as the sketch and I added three little silver bells on a red ribbon in the centre. I also stamped small hearts to the right using DI Worn Lipstick. I do enjoy creating my own papers in this way, hope you like them.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 129 Christmas Animals

I was looking for an image I thought I could use on JS Enchanted Christmas when I came across this wonderful stag. I matched him up with a piece of gloss card I did some time ago when playing with alcohol inks. Both were mounted on a piece of white card embossed with holly leaves. I highlighted the leaves with DI Peeled Paint and the berries with Tattered Rose. My poor photography skills do not do the colours justice but I hope you agree that he is a magnificant animal.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 60 Time flying for Christmas

Used a few stamps that have not seen the light of day for a while for this tag. The heart stamp is Sarah Lugg, the santa Personal Impressions and the Sun, moon and stars a trio of stamps from Hero Arts. The pine trees are Clarity and the clocks Crafty Individuals. Stamped santa using London fog Memento and the rest is D inks of various colours. Enjoyed playing.
