The CD Sunday Challenge - White Christmas

Could not resist using JS Thomas Kinkade CD for this challenge. This is one of my favourite Christmas images from the CD. The image is matted onto a sliver of silver and then again on white star glitter card. The backing paper is from Winter Wonderland by The English Paper Company and it is also matted onto the glitter star card. It is finished off with tinsel ribbon and a sentiment and snowflake. I really enjoyed making this card.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 59 Colours For Christmas

The base card of this tag is silk card which has been through the Docraft Baubles embossing folder. I inked it with DIs Crushed Olive, a colour I have used on lots of Christmas cards this year, and worn lipstick. The raised baubles are La Blanche stamps which I stamped onto white card, distressed in the same colours, cut out and added to the tag. The tinsell like ribbon was a freebie from craft Obsessions, thank you.

Thanks for looking, any comments you leave are much appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 128 - Thanksgiving

I used two scrapbooking papers from Karen Foster for this card. John's sister is married to an American so this card is for them. One paper is torn and distressed with Walnut stain. Another piece of the same paper was matted onto brown paper edged with a Martha Stewart punch. The three pieces were layered as shown and a trim of orange braid was added and three button leaves.

Happy Thanksgiving one and all. Thank you for taking a look, all your comments are much appreciated.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 28

This is an Inkadinkado stamp I have been going to buy for ages and just bought in my local craft shop sale. I thought it fitted well with the theme of this challenge. It is stamped and masked and re stamped using Versafine black and the scene, which is a stamp from A Stamp in the Hand, is stamped using DI Faded Jeans. This was also used to colour the surround.

The CD Sunday Challenge - Shabby Chic

I always think of lace when I think of shabby chic so that is my theme. The lacey look paper is from MCS Tattered Lace. I used it to cover a card balnk and pleated it to form a band round the middle. As I am into my Martha Stewart punches at the minute I added two bands using the shells/fan punch. I added a ribbon from Anna Griffin and some pearlescent gems and flower.
Does anyone else have days when cards just do not go as intended? I think this is plan Z after so many changes on route as bits went wrong. I did like how the finished card turned out eventually though. Hope you do too.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 127 - Edge It

My stamp is "Willow with Lantern" from Whiff of Joy and is stamped with Memento ink and coloured with Promarkers. All the edges are with a Martha Stewart punch. I love it but it is the most difficult of all the ones I have to line up correctly, perhaps because the pattern is small. The backing papers are from K&Co and the holly ribbon from my local craft shop. The Joy sentiment is one of Sheena's stamps.
I do like this stamp, hope you do too.

The CD Sunday Challenge - Lavender and Lace

Bought the lace kit off QVC from Art Quest last week so just had to try it out for this challenge. Unfortunately I have not been able to photograph it very well as I kept catching the reflection off the silver leaf.
The background is stamped using an Anna Griffin lace stamp and Brilliance ink pad Pearlescent Lavender. The silver lace strips are tape from the kit ruppled with my fingers and silver leaf and mica added. The flower is made from Grunge paper and painted with perfect pearls. The sentiment is from Artylicious CD Decadent Brocade.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 58 - The East

I have not done any decoupage for ages and as I had this lovely lady from way back I thought I would use her. The background is stamped using Dee Gruenigs floral motive and latterns, using Versamark, and embossed with Wow embossing powder super white. I used DI Dusty Concorde, Antique Linen and Dried Marigold to colour the tag and then stamped the floral motive again using DI Crushed Olive.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 126 - Lest We Forget

It seemed appropriate to make this today so I set to after the minutes silence at 11. The background stamp is from Clarity -Wild Poppies stamped with a red inkpad of unknown origin (lost label) and it is matted onto red mirri. The main image is from La Blanche and is stamped with memento London Fog. One poppy is coloured with Promarkers poppy and black. This is also matted onto red mirri. the sentiment was added using the Xyron design runner. Hope it is a fitting act of Remembrance.

The CD Sunday Challenge - The Natural World

So many lovely images on the Jayne Netley Mayhew Cds from Joanna. Decided to go with the elephant family from CD 1. The background is the elephant hide paper that goes with the image mounted onto silver card and repeated as a mount for the topper. The sentiment was printed with the Design runner.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 27 - A Christmas Card using Non Traditional Colours

I used two Anna Griffin papers for this 8 by 8 card. A pleated ribbon made from both papers covers the join. The upper half of the card has a snow flake and a sentiment cut from Craft Robo. The lower half has two baubles from Crafty Ann's digis printed on a spare piece of the top paper, cut out and partially covered with gilding flakes. A ribbon tops them off. Half way through I thought this is looking quite golden and that is a traditional colour oops! The papers are more yellow orchre in real life, honest.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 125 - Make A Picture

Just had to have a play with my new train stamp and ink dusters. The train stamp is from Habico, the trees and fence are Elusive images, the clouds A Stamp in the Hand and the birds Clarity. I used Big and Juicy Waterfall and the touch of heather! is DI Dusty Concord. Need some practise with the ink dusters as I had to use a sponge too but I quite like the stipple effect.

The CD Sunday Challenge - It's Spooky

Fun Halloween is my choice for this challenge. The topper and cat frame are from Silhouette Sensations CD from Gwyneth Windsor. The lettering and bat are cut with Craft robo and the backing paper and pumpkins are from that Canada stash again. I printed on white and coloured with DI Risty Hinge. I was going to make it a scrapbook page as I was known as "that witch" to some of my naughtier students but it is an 8 by 8 card!
