Windflower Scrapbook Page Challenge - Rose Garden Kit

For this challenge we had to use Pam Lefors digi kit Rose Garden. That meant I had to use one of my fav photos of my dad, when he won best rose in show at the local rose show one year. He was so proud. These papers and embellishments are so lovely. I turned them into a digi kit in Craft Artist, they work too in MCS. Thank you for taking a look, all your comments are greatly appreciated.

CD Sunday - Say It With Scallops

This is my last card as CD Sundays guest DT member. I have enjoyed it so much, they are a lovely team and produce some stunning cards as you will see if you pop along to the blog this week.
My card this week features Clarity stamps mermaid. I blinged her up with Stickles and used her hair as an additional stamp to edge the topper. It was distressed with Tumbled Glass. She is mounted on a piece of marbled paper, still playing with my paints from C&C, cut on two sides with a Martha Stewart punch. The backing paper behind that is from a Joanna Sheen CD, Jayne Netley Mayhew part2. Then finally all set on a square of green gold paper cut round with the same Martha stewart punch and put on a square 8 by 8 card blank. The scallop shell embellishments were cut from the bp. The sentiment is Tim Holtz.
Not sure about being a mermaid though!

Dragon's Dream TIO # 80 - Fishes

The background for my tag today is marbled. I have been playing with the metallic marbling paints from C&C. I used blue and green. and distressed the edges with DI Tumbled Glass. The stamp is from Elusive Images, as was, and is stamped and embossed with gold EP. I inherited the charm from one of my daughters when she was having a clear out and I added three green pearls to finish off. Thank you for taking a look, all your comments are greatly appreciated.

Wildflower Scraps - Tomorrow's Promise Mom Challenge

I love the digital scrapbook kits made by Pam Lefors and she has just started a new web site and shop called Wildflowers scraps. She has started a challenge and the first is using her kit called Tomorrow's Promise and is about Mums. This is 3 generations of my family, my Mum, me and my two daughters. Mum died suddenly in 1987, aged just 67, and this is a treasured photo of all us girls the day I came home from hospital with new baby number two. Mum was there to help as ever. Still miss her. I made the page in Serif Craft Artist having added the kit as my own digikit.

I will try to add Pam's sites on the side of my blog but if I fail just searching Pam Lefors will find her.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 153 - With A Flourish

This week's challenge is sponsored by Stephanie and I have used her MCS Flourishes vol. 1 to create my card. The backing paper was mounted on silver card and overlayed with a background printed on acetate. The blue topper was printed with the dancer on top and cut out, the dancer was also printed out on acetate and layered on top. The layers were held together with brads. The glossy white card base was stamped using an Anna Griffin flourish using Versamagic Aegean Blue.

Do take a look at the inspiration from the rest of the DT and join in for your chance of winning the prize.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 79 - All The Write Postage

Had a lovely play with one of my daughter's stamp plates for this tag, it is called Love Letters Straight From The Heart. As usual the colours are less saturated than in real life, must improve my photography skills. I stamped the background writing, the love lorn lady and pens with DI frayed burlap and I covered the card with an ink duster in this colour. I stamped the lady at her desk and stamps with vintage photo and distressed the tag again with vintage photo. The love letter was made with the same manilla card and the writing on it was embossed.

A Crafty Kind of Truffle - Father's Day Tag

The May challenge over at A Crafty Kind of Truffle is a Father's Day tag. For mine I have chosen a stamp from Stamp Happen and coloured with Promarkers. I added tyre tracks and a sentiment with the Xyron Design runner. The tag was distressed with Vintage Photo, this does not show up very well in my photo, and I added a button. I was lucky enough to win Helen's prize last month, thank you Helen, so do pop over to Helen's blog and have ago this month.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 78 - Texturise It

I made this week's tag on textured Grunge board, which I painted with paint dabber "Snowcap". The grunge board design suggested the harlequin stamp which I stamped using Versamark and embossed with black sparkle embossing powder. I stamped the masks with black soot DI and I lightly passed this over the tag. The ribbon was an obvious choice and the hearts are silver and black and I used them to add the hint of romance.

Thank you for taking a look, any comments you care to leave are much appreciated.

CD Sunday Challenge - Yee-haw and Diecuts

My image is from Joanna Sheen's CD Western Frontier. I used Serif Craft Artist to put the image on a wooden background, this I tore then distressed with DI Vintage Photo. The sentiment was also printed in Serif CA. The plaid backing paper is by Pam Lefors and this was overstamped with Grunge background stamp from Kaisercraft, in DI black soot. The cowboy boots my die cuts, I cut from crocodile paper in Craft robo. This was fun to make .

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 152 - Lets Feel It (texture)

This week's challenge over at rainbow Lady's challenge blog is sponsored by Chi Chi Memories and I have used one of their cute digis and sentiments for my card this week. The image is coloured with Promarkers and mounted on blue mirri which was embossed in a bubbles folder to provide my texture. The sea life are on little springs, a set I bought a long time back from QVC, and used to add a little more dimension and create that under water feel. Do join us this week for your chance to win the prize.

CD Sunday Challenge - Lets Go Oriental

I have used a beautiful paper from Joanna Sheen's Eastern Treasures as the backing paper for my trifold card. The ladies are from some decoupage sheets that I have had for the longest time. The butterflies are made by putting Pinflair peeloffs onto the backing paper and cutting them out. The lovely pink colour of the bp does not show well, my photography skills to blame I am afraid.

I hope you will have a look through some of your not used for a while CDs and join in the challenge this week over at CD Sunday challenge blog.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 151 - Lady in Red

My new papers from Anna Griffin just arrieved and I had to use some as I promised myself I would not just keep them! So the pink bp is hers and the roses are cut, yes cut, from another sheet. I stamped with an Anna Griffin flourish onto the pink bp and turned back one corner before applying the roses. This I mounted onto silver mirror card before putting it on a white card blank. The lady is from an Elusive Images stamp sheet, now Chocolate Baroque. I stamped her on white card and coloured her skin with promarkers before cutting her out. I stamped again on red velvet paper and cut out her dress.

Thank you for coming to take a look, any comments you leave are greatly appreciated. The challenge at Rainbow Lady is sponsored this week by the lovely Joanna Sheen so do join in for yout chance to win.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 77 - Colour My World

Two of my stamps this week are from Paper Artsy and my colour scheme is purple with accents of grey.

I saw this stamp of the old chap and thought how much he looked like he was doing his own thing compared to the anonymous folk in the film strip. I found a sentiment that summed up what I was thinking on Elusive Images affirmations stamp sheet.

He was stamped with versamark and clear embossed then I stamped again on top with London Fog. The DI used is Dusty Concorde and the film strip was stamped in the same colour. The sentiment is also stamped using London Fog.

Thanks for taking a look, any comments you leave are much appreciated.

CD Sunday Challenge - Stamping

So delighted to be guest designer at CD Sunday challenge for this month. This is one of my favourite challenges as I can happily trawl through my CDs, some of which I won't have looked at for ages, and come across some hidden gem.

For this challenge I cut three mats with Craft Robo, the middle one being a lovely blue colour from Marbled papers Resource pattern book CD. This determined the colours I used to stamp. I have used two La Blanche stamps, which I stamped in Archival Sepia on the centre card and in DI faded jeans on the gatefold base card. The card and topper edges were distressed using the same inks. The sentiment is a freebie stamp from a magazine.

The challenge is sponsored this week by Digi's With Attitude so do pop along and have a look at the other DT creations on the CD Sunday challenge blog and get your entry in to have a chance of winning the prize.
