CD Sunday Challenge - Art Nouveau

My CD element is the topper which is from MCS Art Nouveau. I mounted it on white card coloured with ink dusters and Antique linen DI. The side panels are stamps from Debbi Moore's Art Nouveau sheet. They were coloured using Derwent Aqua pencils. The card itself was stamped with another stamp from the same collection and this was embossed with Vertigre Opaque ep from Stampendous. I love the colour. The card was then covered with three shades of Versa Magic inks, Sea Breeze, Oasis Green and Aegean Blue in an attempt to match the background to the lady in the topper. I really enjoyed making this card so hope you like it.
Thank you for taking a look, all your comments are greatly appreciated.

Sparkles Forum Christmas Challenge - Christmas Tree

Just bought this stamp from Barbara's Clarity stamp sale so pleased to have an opportunity to use it. My tag is coloured with DIs Pine needles and Aged mahoganey and ink disters. The tree is stamped with pine needles. The ribbon and star are from my stash. It is such an intricate stamp I thought i would keep the background simple.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 35 - Happy Birthday

I chose Music Collage 3 from Crafty Ann's collection as the card is for a violin player. The colouring was done with Derwent Intense pencils and a water brush and then glazed with Crafty Notions rainbow glazes. The two backing papers are from Funky collection 3. I used the design runner for the additional row of music and the sentiment. The charm is from my stash.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 69 - Fun and Games

Having been away for a week with four male wind surfers the first thing I thought of when I saw the challenge title was boys and their toys. It was a fun week. Unfortunately I don't have a windsurfer stamp, shopping required, but John does have a motor bike and does snowboard hence my tag. Thank you for taking a look, any comments you leave are much appreciated.

CD Sunday Challenge - Get Ahead - Get a Hat

I used a stamp called Sophisticated Lady by Stamp Happen and coloured it with Promarkers. It is my daughter's stamp but I am looking after her stamps for now, so a chance to borrow. My backing paper is from the Artylicous CD Floral Fantasy and it and the topper are matted onto grey card, the flower is from my stash.

Thank you for taking a look, I do appreciate your comments.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 141 - Shabby Chic

The challenge over at Rainbow Lady's blog this week is Shabby Chic and it is sponsored by Steph of Crafting. co.uk. I came across this image on Vintage Feedsacks blog and thought it was so right for shabby chic. The papers are double sided from K & Co. so I was able to use three sides here. The broad lace under the band was from my stash and the silk flowers are from HOTP. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the mat and added some pale pink pearls to the mat and centre of the flowers.

Thank you for taking a look and I hope you will join in over at Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 140 - Use a CD

My CDs this week are both from Joanna Sheen, the pink background silk from Fashion Boutique and the fur from Jayne Netley Mayhew. The topper and scatter cushion are digis from Amber Inks and they are kindly sponsoring the challenge this week. The chatty lady is coloured using Promarkers and the cushions were printed onto the fur bp. The sentiment is a stamp that I must say I can relate to.

CD Sundat Challenge - Pearls and Swirls

For once I decided to do a gatefold card but I do find them hard to photograph. My background paper is from a Sharon Duncan Embossibilities CD and the swirls in the same paper, layered on top of silver, were cut with a Sizzix die and the Wizard.
The square mat was paper from my stash as was the doiley. The lacey mat is a JS stamp embossed with white sea foam powder. The butterflies are from JS Enchanted dreams embellishments printed on acetate.
Had to be quick off the mark for this one as off on holiday at 5 in the morning and nothing packed yet!

Dragon's Dream TIO #67 - Time To Tag

Have been scrapbooking this week and this quote came to mind as I looked at some of the pages. I had used it on a page where my two girls had persuaded me onto the log flume at a theme park. Happy memories.
I used some scrapbook paper that I love as a background and stamped the clock face from Creative Expressions, first in white and embossed it then in black versimark, cut out and covered with glossy accents and layered onto of the white image. I added the sentiment and some watch pieces from my stash.
Thank you for taking a look, ll your comments are much appreciated.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 34 - Love is All Around

My first challenge as a member of Crafty Ann's design team and I am delighted to have been invited to join such a talented team.
For the challenge I have used two of Crafty Ann's backing papers from the embossed hearts folder and designed and cut out the phrase plus mat with Craft Robo. My backing paper was made in MCS using the lovely winged hearts image from Ann's Love is All Around sheet. I coloured it with DI worn lipstick. The topper heart I cut out, coloured and glittered.

CD Sunday Challenge -Friendship

I loved this image when I found it, it is from Arthur's free clip art and this seemed a perfect opportunity to use it. I coloured it with my new Derwent Aquatone pencils, loved working with them, a super bargain at Hobbycraft. The sentiment was also a freebie from the very generous Create with TLC, there are some super sentiments there, many freely given. My backing paper "Friends Forever" is from RedHot Bed Triple Treasures volume 1. As you might have gathered I so enjoyed making this card and I hope you like it too. Thank you for having a look, all the comments you leave are greatly appreciated.

Dragon's dream TIO # 66 - Zentangle

This was such fun, I missed my bedtime. Frankie's challenge coincided with the arrival of this heart stamp from Barbara Gray of Clarity stamps so I used that as my centre piece then doodled. I added colour using ink dusters and DI. I used faded jeans, crushed olive, worn lipstick, dusty concorde and aged mahogany. As I was trying something new I thought I would try making a flower with the zip edged braid I just bought. I was quite pleased with how it turned out but it was hard to stick it together. Think I may be trying Zentangles again!

Thank you for taking a look, any comments you leave are greatly appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 138 - Chinese New Year

This weeks challenge celebrates Chinese New Year, the year of the Rabbit and is sponsored by the lovely Joanna Sheen. The New Year celebrations involve lanterns and firecrackers hence my image this week of two small boys lighting the fireworks and holding their ears. It comes from a Dover CD of Chinese images. I coloured with Promarkers and distressed with Fired Brick. The card itself is stamped with a lanterns image from Dee Gruenig which is embossed with gold. The sentiment is from Google clip art. I tried to keep to the traditional colours of red, black and gold.

Thank you for taking a look and I do hope that you will take a look at Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog and join in with us this week to have a chance of winning the voucher from Joanna.
