Dragon's Dream TIO # 106 - The Da Vinci Code - Homage to the Great Man

I bought a book "The Inventions of Leonardo da Vinci" by Charles Gibbs-Smith at my local charity shop with the intentions of altering it. I have got as far as reducing the number of pages, which of course I kept and one of them is my background here. The Man was very fond of pully and geared systems and flight so they are the theme of my tag. The stamp is by Andy Skinner and was stamped with Versifine sepia on card, cut out and attached to the tag . It was distressed with DI Weathered Wood, as was the main body of the tag. Thank you for stopping by to look, all your comments are much appreciated.

I decided to decoupage these rather sweet elephants from Sharon Duncan's CD Animal Magic, a CD I was lucky enough to win. The backing paper is from the CD too. Thanks for stopping by, all the comments you leave are much appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 180 - Cards for Men

I used a Kraft card base as this seems to suit cards for men. I embossed a piece of white card and distressed it with a variety of DI. The topper is on silk art card and the background is the same mix of DInks used to completely cover the card. The stamp is from Papermania "Nostalgia - Classic cars". I stamped with Stazon and added highlights with an Inkssentials white opaque pen. Do have a look at Rainbow Lady's challenge blog where you with find lots of inspiration from the DT. I hope you will join in.

CD Sunday - Trees

Lovely challenge topic this week. I used JS's Cottage Garden for my paper and topper. I made an easel card and added some ribbon and leaves from my stash. I had trouble photographing it so that it looked straight this is the best of the bunch. Thank you for coming over to take a look, all your comments are much appreciated.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 105 - Chinatown (Asian theme)

I have been inspired by dragons this week. My two stamps are from Kodomo Inc. I stamped on the reverse of a piece of embossed card with Versamark and embossed with Stampendous ep "Vertigre" one of my favourite embossing powders. I added a torn piece of vellum which has bamboo leaves on it, they do not so up very well. I stamped a happiness coin which features a dragon and laid a dragon coin on top. Thank you for stopping by, all your comments are much appreciated.

CD Sunday - Paisley Fun

Have not used this CD for the longest time, it is Artylicious "Filigree Fusion" and both background papers are from there. The topper is a Graphicus stamp stamped into wet toilet paper and allowed to dry. A technique I saw Sheena Douglas do ages ago. When dry I distressed with DI Tattered Rose and Dusty Concorde. The punch is Martha Stewart.
Thank you for coming by to look, any comments you leave are much appreciated.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 104 - Letters to Juilet

Last minute this week as I just got back from Canada. Such a lovely challenge though I had to join in. I stamped my main image which is from Inkadinkado, as a resist then covered the tag with DI Spun Sugar. I stamped again over the image using Worn Lipstick. The words are from "Love letters straight from the heart" stamp plate and are stamped in Spun Sugar. I distressed around with Worn Lipstick.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 53 - Floral Frenzy

I used Crafty Ann's lovely papers from the Crinkle collection in pink and purple to create my flowers for this A5 card. I printed the paper one side pink and one purple and one both, one on top of the other, an accident but I loved the look. I used a TH die to cut the larger flowers and a small punch for the smaller ones. All were glued as three layers and squished into shape. The embossing folder is Sizzix and the stamp a Craft Stamper freebie. The ribbon from my stash. Such fun going over board with flowers. I hope you will join us this week.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 103 - Mr Majorium's Wonder Emporium

Had to get my act in gear quickly this week as busy getting organised for the Canada trip hence the sentiment on my tag. I used TH embossing folder for the background and stamped over it with stamps from Technique Treasury. I stamped on vellum and added that to the bottom left. I added some gear wheels from my stash and a shrinkies pot of gears from The Artistic Stamper.
Thanks for stopping by, any comments you leave are much appreciated.
