Dragon's Dream TIO # 76 - Something With A Pocket

This is a new stamp I bought from Lavinia and I thought she might look good stamped on vellum and the tag grew from there. I stamped her using Memento ink and coloured the roses with a Promarker. I then did faux stitching along three sides. I adhered the vellum to acetate to give it strength, The background tag is made from a piece of paper that has been in my spraying booth box for several projects. It has glimmer mists in a few colours, some gold spray and sparkle, alsorts. It is a pretty shimmery pink and gold colour. Inside my pocket is a smaller tag cut from the same paper but a much paler section. I went round both tags with a Krylon gold pen and added the ribbon and the small grunge rose. Thank you for coming to take a look, any comments you care to leave are much appreciated.

CD Sunday Challenge - Butterflies

Love butterflies so I enjoyed looking through my CDs for this one. I had forgotten some of the lovely images on Joanna Sheen's RHS CD. This image and its corresponding backing paper are from CD2. I mounted the image and the bp onto blue mirri card and added a vellum mat punched with a Martha Stewart punch under the topper to the right and bottom. I decoupaged the flowers and the two butterflies and added a little glitter. Finally I added a bow and acetate butterfly.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 75 - Birds, As You Will

I bought this set of Tattered Angels stamps called Graceful Journey at Ally Pally recently so wanted to use this lovely owl. I played about with a piece of Pam Lefors paper in MCS to get a paper with a dark sky with branches and a hint of moonlight. I stamped on this with my owl and white Stazon. I overstamped the owl with black versafine then embossed him with Golden Ocean ep. I added some branches beneath his feet and whitened his face with a Lyra pencil. I also enhanced the moon with the pencil. The sentiment is from Paper Artsy.

Thank you for taking a look, any comments you leave are greatly appreciated.

My hanging creation from Paddy's Course.

This is the result of a fabulous weekend spent on the Elements 2 course at Paddy's. Most of what we did was new to me so I am thrilled with my finished project. I stepped outside of my safe colours and went for it with red and yellow.

We started with a blank rectangle of white cotton, stamped on it in white pearl with Stamendous big stamps. I chose the Peony. Then the fabric was misted with water and on went the paint using a sponge. A scarey moment! Once it was dry we overstamped in our paint colours and gold.

We went off to do individual techniques for the various components.

My favourite being the felting. I did two panels while we were there and the flower today at home.

We used Polymer clay to make the beads and the cone for the bottom of the hanger. The frame was covered with metal foil which was first embossed in an embossing folder then painted and embossed with clear ep. Finally we cut the inital piece of fabric and framed one piece after embroidering and embelishing it. That is as far as I got on Sunday so have since completed the lower half of the fabric and attached it to the underside of the frame. By a stroke of luck I bought some of the sari ribbon at Ally Pally which was just what was needed to make the tassel and the hanger.

Gosh never done such a long post. Thank you for looking, well done if you got this far! Any comments you leave will be much appreciated.

CD Sunday Challenge - Birthday!

Happy Birthday CD Sunday. For your celebration I made my card using my new big Hydrangea stamp from Stampendous. I stamped it in Brilliance pearlescent orchid. and embossed with Sheena's Wow violet ep. I coloured with two shades of promarkers and then glued and added micro beads to the centre of the flowers and the leaves. I mounted it on Brazill card stock to which I had added a ribbon border using Anna Griffin's ribbon punch. My cd element is from JS Precious Petals. I stamped on the hydrangea bp for the butterfly and sentiment. Heres to many more birthdays. Thank you for taking a look, any comments you leave are greatly appreciated.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 74 - A Tag by any other Shape

My stamp this week is from Stampscapes and she is stamped onto acetate using Stazon. The "not a tag" is a die cut from Sizzix. It was cut from a sheet made by tearing paper strips and glueing them onto a sheet of plain paper so they overlapped. The sheet was then covered with Golden gloss soft gel.

Thank you for taking a look, any comments you leave are much appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 148 - In the Springtime.

It is coloured with Promarkers, cut out and adhered to the hanger. The tulip pegs are from my stash. Thank you for coming to take a look, do pop over to Rainbow Lady's challenge blog and enter your project for a chance to win the prize from Chi Chi Memories.
