Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 124 Spooky and Scary

Finally I get to use some scrapbook papers I bought in Canada last year and my Craft Robo, which John has at last managed to sort out on the new laptop.. The backing paper is from Karen Foster Design and I cut the cat and bat from black card using my craft robo. I added the googly eyes just for fun. Hope the cat makes you smile Janet!

The CD Sunday Challenge - No Embellishments

My rather lopsided Japanese lady (my poor photography skills actually rather than the card, I had a new camera for my birthday and I am still learning,) is from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams. I have not looked at this Cd for a long time as also have her more recent one, Tales of The Orient. There are some lovely images on it that I had forgotten about including this elegant Geisha. I mounted the topper on black card then dull gold card. The background paper I edged with the Martha Stewart lattice punch and glued flat on a black card blank. What no embellishments!

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 26

I did enjoy making this card. I started off thinking I would use one of the venetian masks from Crafty Ann's digis and chose this one, then remembered a sheet of Avec decoupage I have had for years that featured masks. This gave me a colour scheme for the digi mask which I coloured using Promarkers cut out and added gems and ribbon. The background and decoupaged jester were from the sheet and I mounted all onto white card and added the two colours of ribbon. It was a bit short for an A5 card blank so I mounted it onto purple mirri which I left a bit long and edged with a Martha Stewart punch. Colour schemes do not come together for me easily usually, so this felt like serendipity. Hope you like it.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 123 - Autumn Foliage

Had a bit of difficulty phographing this card which is on gloss card so the colours are not quite true. I used alcohol inks on the white card and on the gold metal leaves. I used caramel, cranberry, latte, meadow, lettuce and gold fixative. The leaves were cut using a sissix die owned by a friend and left over from my Canada scrapbook. The leaf stamp is from A stamp in the Hand and the sentiment is Elusive images Artistic Affirmations.

CD Sunday Challenge - Monochrome

I do like this lady she is from Card Creations + Sillopage CD. I decopaged her and mounted her on card from Knaban, which was a white pattern on black. I mounted again on black card and raised the topper on a card base also from Kanban but this time black on white. I added 3 knotted ribbons.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 57 - As You Like It

I have always loved Fairy Tales and on a recent trip to Ireland I was given a book of Irish Fairy and Folk lore. My tag is inspired by the tale of "The Children of Lir". The children were betrayed by the beautiful but jealous Queen who used sourcery to turn them into swans and banished them to cold and stormy seas for 900 years. They retained their lovely voices and eventually made it to a lake on an island (no prizes for guessing which island that was) and remained there until their deaths, singing their lovely songs for all to hear. The Queen, as punishment, was turned into a daemon of the sky, dark and no longer lovely. I hope my tag does justice to the tale!
The stamps used are: swan-Clarity, sky-A Stamp in the Hand Co., waves-Stampscapes Inc., trees- Elusive Images, lady-bravura Stamps. I used DI pads for the background and stamping. Colours used: Aged Mahogany, Bundled Sage, Pine Needles, Victorian Velvet and Faded Jeans. Scrap of music.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 25

My colouring medium is water colour pencils. I always loved to colour as a child and still love it. The digi stamp is from Peerless Designs, as is the backing paper. I coloured each section of the design in turn using a water brush to even out the colour and blend the shaded areas. The flower colours were chosen to suit the backing paper from the Cd Carousel Horses.

CD Sunday Challenge - Not a Card

I thought I would stay with a Christmas theme as I have been making Christmas cards. This bookmark is from Joanna Sheen's Ivory Cats CD. I added gliter along the tinsel and coloured the holly berries with red Stickles. I mounted the bookmark onto a piece of red card which I edged with the Martha Stewart loop punch.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 122 - Around the World

I decided to include the whole world not just one country in this challenge. The stamps are Creative Expressions "Travel". The main image was stamped into melted UTEE which had been coloured with purple, blue and green embossing powders. This was mounted onto a blue green map of the world paper from my stash, not sure where I aquired it. The compass and sentiment were stamped in Versafine Onyx black. The colours in the photo are not quite true to the original!

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 121 - Gothic Christmas

The background for this card is DI bundled sage, faded jeans, dusty concord, and pine needles splashed with water. The trees, star and sentiment are Clarity stamps and the Nativity scene stamps are very old and from a See-D's stamp set.
