Continuing with my alphabet tags. G is for Gorjuss girls. I do like these stamps and this sweetie with her boots and umbrella is one of my favourites. She is coloured with Promarkers and the tag background is Distressed inks applied with an ink duster.

On Our Travels with Darcy's Postcard Challenge - England
Nice to come home, for the challenge and in order to craft again, though I had a wonderful time in Canada with the family. I decided on London for my postcard. The background is Pan Pastels and the stamps used are from Personal Impressions.
My page has the iconic telephone box as a background and stamps from my collection depicting some of England's beautiful Churches. I added the England flag, though I did use the Union Jack on my postcard. My pocket is a photo of my home town, Whitehaven in Cumbria. It is a view over the harbour. It is quite an historic site as it was once the 5th largest port in England and it was here that John Paul Jones attacked in 1778 during the war of Independence, some say to invade England and some say in order to destroy shipping and so hinder the British war effort. The cannon used to defend the port remains in the museum to this day, though when I was a child it stood outside and was a favourite place for children to sit! Me included!

CD Sunday - Easy Elegance
A blue theme for me today. My stamp is from Crafty Individuals and is stamped with Blue Archival Ink. I have used two pages from Artylicious CD Decadent Brocade. The topper is mounted on one which is edged with an Anna Griffin punch and ribbon threaded through and then onto blue Mirri card. The border from the same paper is a Martha Stewart punch again with added ribbon. Both are mounted onto the second paper which is also edged with the blue mirri card. to make an A5 card.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 116 - A Symphony of Flowers
My flowers are made with air drying clay in a mould and painted with Rusty Hinge Distress Stain. The background of the tag was stamped with a flower spray and music using Versamark then the tag was coloured with Pan Pastels. The specimen jar is a stamp from The Artistic Stamper and the butterfly from my collection, I am not sure where it came from.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Let's get Inky
I am trying to do some journalling of everyday things on a regular basis and I was pretty inky when I finished this one. We had a pair of robins nesting in the garden, they were feeding their brood when one flew into the green house and hurt their wing. I rescued it but it died and the other of the pair flew off. I found this rather sad so made a page using the cover of the poem "Who killed Cock Robin". The background is a number of distress inks over stamped with the tree and the birds and some feathers. I added a painted button, a tree cut out and two eggs for added dimension. The colours are not quite true, blame my poor photography skills.

On Our Travels With Darcy's Postcard Challenge - West Africa
Still in Canada, so still digital again. Just had to visit Burkina Faso this week as for over twelve years we sponsored a young boy,Ali, from there and sent him postcards most months. If I had been home my post card would have been one of his drawings of his home that he sent us when he was about 9 years old. Sadly when he was 18 we were no longer able to keep in touch with him. I can only hope he has been able to do well with the meager education he had, more than most. He loved football and so in his honour my postcard is the National Football Team with their logo.
My page is made up of photos of this landlocked country that is situated just south of the Sahara. The background shows how dry and baked the earth can be there.
Hope to get round as many of your postcards as I can once I get back as my internet connection here is intermittent and the grandchildren time consuming but wonderful.

CD Sunday - Reflections
Last weekend we went North to Algonquin Park and Barry's Bay to stay with a friend. It is beautiful there, lots of lakes and unfortunately bugs! Worth getting bitten for though. This is one of the photos we took, which I hope qualifies as a reflection. I used a CD from Vintaj " Willow Pond" in Serif to create this 12 by 12 scrapbook page.

Rainbow Lady.s Challenge # 204 - "Age" as in decoupage
This weeks challenge over at Rainbow Lady's is being sponsored by Pinflair and where would we be when decoupaging without Pinflair Glue. I have used it here to decoupage one of Joanna Sheen's House Mice. I love this one especially as one of my coffee/tea morning friends drinks Camomile tea. I have teamed the topper with a backing paper and sentiment from Hot Off the Press. Thank you for stopping by to have a look, any comments you leave are much appreciated.

On Our Travels With Darcy's Postcard Challenge - Bulgaria
My postcard and book page are digital at the moment, created in Serif's Craft Artist and I will turn them into paper copies for my journal when I get back. Knew nothing about Bulgaria until I started this week's challenge. I was fascinated by the ruins and artifacts that are found all over Bulgaria from the Thracian peoples. They were Indo-Europians who lived in South Eastern Europe and much of the area where they lived is now in Bulgaria. They appear in Greek mythology and soldiers from there served with Hannibal. I liked this fresco uncovered in Kazanlak which is shown on my postcard.
My page shows the Alexander - Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia and the pocket the Bachkovo monastory.
Hope to get round to see all yours.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 203 - Memories
It has taken me a while to start scrapbooking photos of my Dad in his later years and this one is one of our last days out before he became too ill. He loved to go to the RHS at Wisley and the routine was for John and I to take him round the big heated greenhouse in his wheel chair and then have tea and cakes. This is a very happy memory for me. This lovely digi kit called "My Comfort" is from Amber Shaw at The Design Studio. I made the page in Serif and when I get home from Canada I plan to print it as an 8 by 8 page then hybrid scrap it to make a 12 by 12 page for my scrapbook.
Thank you for coming by, I do appreciate all your comments.

On Our Travels with Darcy's Postrcard Challenge - New Zealand
New Zealand wow! John and I had our dream holiday there for a month , two years ago. We loved it. I have hundreds of photos and a huge scrapbook full of happy memories. I asked myself what stood out in my memory and it had to be the Whale watch and the swim with wild dolphins. Me who hardly dares venture into the deep end at the pool, in the Ocean with a pod of about 200 dolphins. I find it hard to believe now and there are no photos as I was in the water lol! Visually it was the sunsets, the huge size of the tree ferns and the Agapanthus that I have to try so hard to grow here and considered a weed there that I remember. Could go on and on but I think you have guessed how much I loved it. I went with a sunset for my postcard with the Agapanthus silhouetted against the sky. I used distress stains for the background and stamped the flowers with Stazon and coloured them in with a black slick writer pen. My page is made up of our photos put together is Craft Artist. The pocket is one of my many Agapanthus pics.
