Big and bold had me thinking of quilts and I decided to try to base this tag on a hexagon quilt design. This pattern is sometimes known as Grandma's flower garden so I sort of based my designs on a secret garden idea using one of Tim Holtz's big tags.
I used some patterned paper, fabric, a photo from a glorious mosaic table top in the Ashmolean museum. some alcohol inked embossed foil and stamps from Sir Tim and Caroline's texture plates. Great fun to make. Thanks for taking a look, any comments you leave are much appreciated.
This is lovely Jen. Like the lots going on and the super colours and textures. The quilt idea really works and each hexagon showcases a different technique. Very effective.
