Welcome to the CD Sunday challenge, I have enjoyed my month with the design team, do go and have a look at their wonderful creations and join us for Recycling. For my A5 card I have used a Kraft card as the base. Layered on that is a torn piece of brown paper that came as packaging which I distressed using Bundled Sage Distress Stain and a page torn from an old book which I distressed with DI Dusty Concorde. I stamped and embossed some swirls in gold to tie things together. The topper is from Sheens Douglas's new paint Fusion CD. I added a little more distressing and a ribbon. Think this Cd will become a favourite of mine.

On Our Travels with Darcy's Postcard Challenge- Cuba
This week we are in Cuba. I have never been there but it is on my list, want to dance Salsa there. The music from Buena Vista Social Club is popular in our house. On looking at photos from Cuba while researching it seemed that advertising by painting on walls was popular so that is my theme. My music man is a stamp from Urban Snap Shots and he is stamped in black Stazon onto glossy card that was stamped prior to that with music from Happen Stamps which was embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a brick stamp from Hobby Art to create my background wall. The distressing is with DI Pumice Stone, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.
I created my book page in Serif's Craft Artist using a background paper from Vintaj and images from cigar adverts I found on the internet. On the pocket is the crest of Cuba.
Thank you all for your kind comments. I am so enjoying looking at all your cards and reading your stories. You are all so talented.

On Our Travels With Darcy's Post Card Challenge - Wales
As I am from a mining town, a Cumbrian not a Welsh one, I had to include the black hills that once marked the landscape of such towns. I have been a Rugby fan all my life so what else but a Rugby player, all be it a young one, in his Welsh shirt. To finish off my card I could not believe it when I found this stamp in my collection from many many years ago. My book page was created in Craft Artist.
Thank you so much all of you who have come along and looked at my postcards and been kind enough to leave a comment.

Dragon's Dream TIO #109 _ The Time Traveler's Wife
I based my tag on the story line from the book which has the Timetraveler moving in and out of his wife's life from childhood to old age. She has ignored his note advising her not to wait for him.
I first painted the tag with white acrylic paint then added the bride using packing tape to transfer the image. The stamps I used are from TJ Designs "Vintage Collage" and from Avec. The clock is a rub on and the calender tape from Tim Holtz.
Thank you for stopping by, all your comments are much appreciated.

CD Sunday L is for ....
I simply mounted a backing paper, one edge punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and a topper onto silver mirri card. I added a ribbon and mounted the whole onto another piece of backing paper also mounted on mirri. Do have a look at the ideas from the lovely DT over at CD Sunday web site and join us.
I so enjoy working on scrapbook pages in Serif Craft Artist that I also did a page using the same topper. I used a digi kit from Booland Designs called Lilac Avenue and imported the topper as a photo.

On Our Travels with Darcy's Post Card Challenge - Belgium
This week we are in Belgium. I was researching it when I came across "The Folon Foundation". This is a wonderful park and centre outside of Brussels which houses the work of Jean Michel Folon. Some of the sculptures he has scattered about the park feature a gentleman in a raincoat and hat with or without an umberella. This caught my eye as it is an image used by Tim Holtz frequently. So here is my postcard in homage to Jean Michel Folon and Tim Holtz. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder and one of his stamps. I coloured and added the rain with a water colour pencil in silver grey. Below is my page, the backing papers I made using marbling paint in water and as I cannot resist Belgian Chocolates I cut my title from printed paper covered in chocolates. Thank you all so much for the kind comments you leave, I am so enjoying seeing all your postcards and reading your stories. Jen x

CD Sunday - A La Mode
I love this multi layer topper and have mounted it on matching dark pink mirri card. I used the page curl and woven backing papers. I added three flowers that I made to match from flower heads and leaves in my stash.
Do take a look at the web site and let the team see your interpretation of A La Mode. Don't forget to use something from a CD in order to enter the draw.

On Our Travels with Darcy's Post Card Challenge - France
Here we are in France. My postcard is a stamp from The Paris Collection by Darkroom Door. I stamped it with Stazon on glossy card then masked it and stamped text and crackle around the image. I added the colour with DInks Antique Linen, Faded Jeans, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.
I used these same colours on my book page which I also stamped using more images from the Paris Collection. The flap of my page is a freebie from Free Vintage Digital Stamps. I added more colour to match it to my page.
So enjoying seeing every ones postcards and thank you all for your kind comments here on my blog.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 58 - Love Is In The Air

For the background paper for my 6 by 6 card I used two of Crafty Ann's lovely red papers, one from the crinkle collection and one from the cobweb collection, and added an overlay and her silver frame. After mounting this on silver card I added my ribbon, charm, roses and glitter sentiment. This will be my valentine for someone special sssh!
