Dragon's Dream TIO # 98 - These Boots were Made for Walking

Thought my grumpy girl stamp from LOTV fitted the bill for boots made for walking! The background stamp is "En Vogue Shoe" by Stamp Happen embossed with silver pearl and then covered with Bundled sage D Stain. I added Dusty Concorde round the edges. The girl is coloured with Promarkers. Thank you for stopping by to take a look, all your comments are greatly appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 172 - Autumn Flowers

Another new sponsor over at Rainbow Lady's this week. My lovely flower digi is from our sponsor Glitter Babe Digis. It is a Columbian Daisy and I coloured it with Promarkers. My A5 card base is covered with a paper from Cosmo Cricket and then with a design cut from a K & Co. scrapbook paper. I thought the colours were just right for Autumn. I added a sentiment using the Xyron Design runner. Do join in with us this week for your chance to win a prize from our sponsor.

CD Sunday - Winter Wonderland

This week I have made a 5 by 7 card using a scene from Ooh La La Dreams of Tranquillity. The pearl blue backing paper was edged using a Martha Stewart punch and I added a crystal bead trim given to me by my friend Janet. Think I took the photo at an angle as my braid is on straight, honest!
Thank you for taking a look any comments you leave are much appreciated.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 97 - Mother - Embroidery

My lovely Mum taught me to embroider, daisy chain being our starter stitch which is why I have included it on my tag. The body form is TH die cut using Grunge patterned board coloured with Fired Brick. I crocheted the flowers and stitched on the ribbon. The tag itself is stamped using Anna Griffin stamps and distressed with Worn Lipstick.
Thanks for stopping by to have a look, any comments you leave are much appreciated.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #50 - Around The World

I decided to travel round the world to the Orient using three of Ann's gorgeous Oriental digis. I combined them with the Mail Art stamp template from Chocolate Baroque and a lovely backing paper from my stash, called Japan Journey and made by "Dove of the East". I do hope you will join us over at Crafty Ann's Challenge blog.

CD Sunday - Black and Blue

I thought I would try a technique I use in my scrapbooks on my card this week. My image is from Joanna Sheen's Patience Strong CD and I split the image unevenly and pieced it together again with some pieces higher than others. I added the small version of the image to show how it looks whole. The backing paper is from Anna Griffin and the gems from my stash. Sometimes on a scrapbook page I use three separate photos of the same scene, the centre bigger picture always being the main point of interest.

This is a page where I did that from some photos of the Godrevy lighthouse in Cornwall. Thank you for stopping by, I do appreciate all your comments.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 170 - Christmas Sweet Treats

This week Rainbow Lady's challenge is being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and I got to play with this fabulous cupcake digi from them. I decoupaged it adding frosting and glitter. The holly was treated with Crafty notions Rainbow glaze. The backing papers are all from Hely Cuppleditch's " Pepper's Christmas Party" set and they were distressed with DI Vintage Photo. I think I would like a giant cupcake like this instead of a traditional Christmas cake this year!

Dragon's Dream TIO # 96 - Dedicated Follower of Fashion

I decided on black and gold as this week's fashion colour combination. I cut a tag from American Crafts black card stock and stamped my dress using a Versamark ink pad. I coloured it using Perfect Pearls gold with a little blue at the neck and hem. The stamp is from Stamp Happen Inc. I also stamped a sheet of black shrink plastic with a swirl background stamp from Impression Obsession Inc. and coloured that in the same way. I cut the dress form out with a TH die and shrunk it down plus a button. The flower I made from a piece of blue double sided scrapbook paper left over and after making it I painted on gold Perfect Pearls leaving some blue to show through. I added it with a dress pin and button plus a piece of black tape measure. The gold does not show up so well in the photograph but I could not get a better one. Thank you for stopping by to take a look, all your comments are greatly appreciated.

Dragon's Dream Bird Cage Swap

This is my tag for Frankie's bird cage tag swap. My inspiration came from Mozart's Magic Flute so have included some clip art from a past production of the opera and a music stamp. The background paper is a download from Chocolate Baroque. The Bird Cage is the Tim Holtz die cut in grunge paper and embossed with Stampendous ep "Vertigri". The little bird and metal feathers are from my stash. Lots of distressing with DI "Vintage Photo".
Really enjoyed doing this and it is very exciting waiting for my swap to arrive. Do look on Dragon's web blog to see the other fabulous swaps.

CD Sunday - Alphabets - M

M is for Merry Go Round. My trifold card is printed from Peerless Designs CD " Mystical Carousel". I do like the Peerless CDs.
I printed double sided on Doolicraft printer card which is one of the very few types of card that will go through my HP printer which rolls the paper.
I cut him out, added some glitter and bling and folded the card in three.
Thank you for coming over to have a look, any comments you leave are much appreciated.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 49 - Make Yourself Uncomfortable.

Oh so far out of my comfort zone! I have not tried parchment before and my admiration of those who do it regularly is even higher than before, and I have always admired their work. I used Crafty Ann's beautiful lilies and printed them on parchment and had a go with my embossing tool! The background paper is from Making memories and the embossed card was edged with a Martha Stewart punch. Do join us at Crafty Ann's challenge blog and step outside of your comfort zone, it is fun to try!

Dragon's Dream TIO # 95 - Red Red Wine

As Helen resisted the temptation to design a Liverpool tag I resisted making mine for The Reds - Man Utd!!! My team.
I did use a lovely wine label that I had saved and I glued it to a tag covered with canvas. I distressed the whole with DI Fired Brick and Aged Maogany and added some mini stamps of grapes and a villa from Hobby Arts. The sentiment is a stamp from Stamps Happen Inc. called Life is too Short. I stamped it in Memento and then coloured it with Promarkers.
Thank you for stopping by any comments you leave are much appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 169 - Using Acetate with Christmas in Mind

This week's challenge at Rainbow Lady's is sponsored once again by Chi Chi Memories and I have used one of their lovely digis to make this acetate shaker card. The card itself is acetate, I photographed it on red dotty paper so you could see it. The digi was coloured with Promarkers and snow and glitter added. I added snow flakes, saved from my Martha Stewart punch, inside the shaker bubble. I edged the bubble with a frame cut with craft robo, there is a matching shape on the inside for the message. The little wooden bow came from John lewis.
Do join us this week for your chance to win some digis from our sponsor.

CD Sunday - Inspired by Peacocks

Lovely challenge this week over at CD Sunday. I have chosen a backing paper from Peacock Summer Party CD by Artylicious and cut out my peacock using Craft Robo. Using a Dreamweaver stencil I put a border round the card blank using Versamark and Cosmic Shimmer powders. I mounted the bp and peacock onto black card and added a little glitter to the peacock's tail before adding them to the card. The roses and sentiment are from my stash. Thank you for taking a look and for leaving comments, they are so appreciated.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 94 - Bed of Roses

I started with the rose this week cut with a TH die from a sheet of copper. I used 4 layers and used the cut away a petal technique, rolling the petals before putting each layer together. I coloured it with" Cranberry" alcohol ink. It is on a tag made from black and grey embossed card stock from my stash. The stamp is from Paper Artsy and is stamped with Adirondack ink" Currant". I cut it out and covered it with Glossy Accents. Thank you for taking a look, all your comments are much appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 168 - Emboss It

The lovely Joanna Sheen is sponsoring the challenge over at Rainbow Lady's this week and we are asking you to Emboss It. I have used a Cuttlebug embossing folder "Scroll It" as a frame for my Gorjuss girl stamp. I have coloured her with Promarkers and matted and layered her on two pink papers from Basic Grey. I used three other papers from the same collection "Sultry" to make the background on the card. One piece was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders "Daisy Border". I found it hard to photograph the card as it is a gate fold in reverse, with the side panels folded again to support the card.
I do hope you will join in with us this week for your chance to win a voucher from Joanne.
