CD Sunday - Fifties Fun
On reflection this may be end of 40's start of 50's but I was so moved by the story and wedding photo I heard on The Antiques Roadshow that I could not resist this image on the MCS Cd A Carousel of Classics- The 40s and 50s. The backing papers and embellishments were all printed from a Digilicious digikit called Vintage Wedding. I layered up the papers, distressing some and decoupaged the tag. I also distressed the photo. Thank you for stopping by to look. All you comments are much appreciated.

I do appreciated your comments.
Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 182 - Trees and Baubles
I had fun decoupaging and decorating this tree from Jayne Nestorenko's CD Winter Tales. I also had a bit of a play creating a card digitally and thought I would show you the results. I worked in Serif's Craft Artist and made a background paper using a topper of a decorated tree. I added a Christmas tree bauble and added the original topper inside the bauble. The rest are serif embellishments which I coloured and glittered to match the paper. Lots of fun. I hope you will join us over at Rainbow Lady's challenge blog and show us your Christmas Tree.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 181 - See Amid The Winter's Snow
I decided to use one of the lovely photos John took of our local park, last winter. Hence my Carol choice of "See Amid The Winter's Snow". This is an 8 by 8 scrapbook page designed with elements from Pam Lefors Aquaflurry kit and sheet music from The Graphics Fairy. Our walk that day was cold but quite magical as we got there before anyone else had left their footprints!
I do hope you will join us this week over at Rainbow Lady's and share your choice of Christmas Carol with us.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 106 - The Da Vinci Code - Homage to the Great Man
I bought a book "The Inventions of Leonardo da Vinci" by Charles Gibbs-Smith at my local charity shop with the intentions of altering it. I have got as far as reducing the number of pages, which of course I kept and one of them is my background here. The Man was very fond of pully and geared systems and flight so they are the theme of my tag. The stamp is by Andy Skinner and was stamped with Versifine sepia on card, cut out and attached to the tag . It was distressed with DI Weathered Wood, as was the main body of the tag. Thank you for stopping by to look, all your comments are much appreciated.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 180 - Cards for Men
I used a Kraft card base as this seems to suit cards for men. I embossed a piece of white card and distressed it with a variety of DI. The topper is on silk art card and the background is the same mix of DInks used to completely cover the card. The stamp is from Papermania "Nostalgia - Classic cars". I stamped with Stazon and added highlights with an Inkssentials white opaque pen. Do have a look at Rainbow Lady's challenge blog where you with find lots of inspiration from the DT. Dragon's Dream TIO # 105 - Chinatown (Asian theme)
I have been inspired by dragons this week. My two stamps are from Kodomo Inc. I stamped on the reverse of a piece of embossed card with Versamark and embossed with Stampendous ep "Vertigre" one of my favourite embossing powders. Thank you for stopping by, all your comments are much appreciated.
CD Sunday - Paisley Fun
Have not used this CD for the longest time, it is Artylicious "Filigree Fusion" and both background papers are from there. The topper is a Graphicus stamp stamped into wet toilet paper and allowed to dry. A technique I saw Sheena Douglas do ages ago. When dry I distressed with DI Tattered Rose and Dusty Concorde. The punch is Martha Stewart.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 53 - Floral Frenzy
I used Crafty Ann's lovely papers from the Crinkle collection in pink and purple to create my flowers for this A5 card. I printed the paper one side pink and one purple and one both, one on top of the other, an accident but I loved the look. I used a TH die to cut the larger flowers and a small punch for the smaller ones. All were glued as three layers and squished into shape. The embossing folder is Sizzix and the stamp a Craft Stamper freebie. The ribbon from my stash. Such fun going over board with flowers. I hope you will join us this week.

I went with the red and black theme of the cards distressing half the tag with Fired Brick and the other half with Black Soot. I used a torn piece of paper to get the wavy line where the two colours meet. I have the good and the bad, sorry about the ugly. Thanks for taking a look, all your comments are much appreciated.

Crafty Ann's Challenge # 51 - Be Inspired by Your Favourite Christmas Song
Inspiration for this challenge is the Slade song "Merry Christmas Everyone" and in particular the line "Are you hanging up your stocking on your wall?". Inspiration too from Ann's metallics. I have used a gold backing paper overlaid with the red Poinsettia paper as my background. In MCS I added the gold garland and used a digital punch to create two stockings using the same gold paper. The sentiment is the line from the song.
Hope to see your crafty take on your favourite Christmas song over at Crafty Ann's challenge blog.

The girl is coloured with Promarkers. Thank you for stopping by to take a look, all your comments are greatly appreciated.

CD Sunday - Black and Blue
I thought I would try a technique I use in my scrapbooks on my card this week. My image is from Joanna Sheen's Patience Strong CD and I split the image unevenly and pieced it together again with some pieces higher than others. I added the small version of the image to show how it looks whole. The backing paper is from Anna Griffin and the gems from my stash. Sometimes on a scrapbook page I use three separate photos of the same scene, the centre bigger picture always being the main point of interest.
This is a page where I did that from some photos of the Godrevy lighthouse in Cornwall. Thank you for stopping by, I do appreciate all your comments.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge # 170 - Christmas Sweet Treats
This week Rainbow Lady's challenge is being sponsored by Whimsy Stamps and I got to play with this fabulous cupcake digi from them. I decoupaged it adding frosting and glitter. The holly was treated with Crafty notions Rainbow glaze. The backing papers are all from Hely Cuppleditch's " Pepper's Christmas Party" set and they were distressed with DI Vintage Photo. I think I would like a giant cupcake like this instead of a traditional Christmas cake this year!
Do join in with us this week for your chance to win a prize from Whimsy stamps.

Dragon's Dream TIO # 96 - Dedicated Follower of Fashion
I decided on black and gold as this week's fashion colour combination. I cut a tag from American Crafts black card stock and stamped my dress using a Versamark ink pad. I coloured it using Perfect Pearls gold with a little blue at the neck and hem. The stamp is from Stamp Happen Inc. I also stamped a sheet of black shrink plastic with a swirl background stamp from Impression Obsession Inc. and coloured that in the same way. I cut the dress form out with a TH die and shrunk it down plus a button. The flower I made from a piece of blue double sided scrapbook paper left over and after making it I painted on gold Perfect Pearls leaving some blue to show through. I added it with a dress pin and button plus a piece of black tape measure. The gold does not show up so well in the photograph but I could not get a better one. Thank you for stopping by to take a look, all your comments are greatly appreciated.
Dragon's Dream Bird Cage Swap
This is my tag for Frankie's bird cage tag swap. My inspiration came from Mozart's Magic Flute so have included some clip art from a past production of the opera and a music stamp. The background paper is a download from Chocolate Baroque. The Bird Cage is the Tim Holtz die cut in grunge paper and embossed with Stampendous ep "Vertigri". The little bird and metal feathers are from my stash. Lots of distressing with DI "Vintage Photo".
Really enjoyed doing this and it is very exciting waiting for my swap to arrive. Do look on Dragon's web blog to see the other fabulous swaps.
